Immigration Bond Lawyer
Immigration Bond: our Baton Rouge based lawyers fight to get your loved one out of jail after an ICE arrest
With extensive experience with deportation defense, Baton Rouge immigration lawyer Rusty Messer and his team are on call and ready to help families and friends of anyone who has been arrested and detained by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) or other immigration authorities.
Many detainees have a right to an immigration bond hearing
Deportation defense attorney Rusty Messer files motions for immigration bonds for detained clients across the United States and frequently appears in Immigration Court in Louisiana and Texas. Although no attorney can guarantee with certainty that a particular individual will be release on an immigration bond, Attorney Messer is committed to filing the strongest immigration bond motion possible for his detained immigration clients. The key to success is the preparation of well-documented and compelling bond motions and supporting evidence.
In determining whether to release an immigration detainee from custody, and the amount of an immigration bond, an Immigration Judge usually looks at these factors:
- Whether you pose a “danger to the community”
- Your “flight risk”, i.e., whether you will return to Immigration Court
- Your family ties in the United States
- Your criminal history
- Your employment
- Your financial ability to pay an immigration bond
- Your participation in community organizations
- How you entered the United States and other aspects of your immigration history
- Your eligibility for a green card or other relief from removal or deportation in Immigration Court
As your immigration bond hearing lawyer, Attorney Messer, who is experienced in deportation defense, will gather and present evidence on your behalf to address these immigration factors. However, at your immigration bond hearing, the Department of Homeland Security may present evidence to allege that you are dangerous, a “flight risk” or for other reasons, do not deserve an immigration bond. This is why it’s so important to have a qualified and experienced deportation defense attorney on your side at the bond hearing.

He also appears in Immigration Courts throughout Louisiana and fights to get his clients release from custody with an immigration bond.
